The whole painting depicts the events of Easter and is in a remarkable state of preservation. Like most medieval wall paintings, it was lime washed over at the Reformation and re-discovered in the 19thC”

Week 43 - I Remember When ... We went to play in the large puddle that formed after heavy rain. We knelt down and filled our wellies. Great fun! Mum gave us hot chocolate, and bowls of warm, sudsy water for our feet. I don't recall being grumbled at. I remember having sore red rings where the boot tops rubbed my legs. Jean Taylor
