Painting at Woodbridge Art Club
The temporary home for our painters is Woodbridge Sea Scouts on Tide Mill Way. The painters will meet on a Wednesday and on a Friday.
Sometimes it is just ‘playing’, having a go at a new technique to see what happens, painting a flower brought in from the garden, or gaining inspiration from a favourite photo. Advice is handed around when asked for, as is a regular supply of coffee and biscuits, and even cake on birthdays!
In addition to pottery and photography, our exhibitions typically have over a hundred original paintings or drawings, almost all of which are for sale.
Prices are very reasonable, particularly bearing in mind the work, cost of materials and frames. Our members range from keen amateurs to those of professional standard, and prices vary to reflect this.
Artworks make a unique gift or souvenir so do call in to one of our exhibitions that will be held from time to time at various locations in the area - enjoy a few moments of calm and enjoy the fruits of our endeavours.
Every member of the Art Club can enter two paintings to our exhibitions and to replace an item which is sold. We change the displays frequently so there is always new work to see. In addition to framed pictures we have a small number of unframed pictures on display in a print cradle.
In accordance with UK copyright law, when pictures are sold the artist retains copyright, unless this is negotiated separately.
